INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION of INSTITUTES of NAVIGATION

Representing global navigators in all environments, the International Association of Institutes of Navigation (IAIN) was formed in 1975. It is registered in the Netherlands and comprises Institutes of Navigation (IONs) worldwide, Associate Members, Corporate Members and Corresponding Members. IAIN is a non-governmental, non-profit making organisation with the objective of uniting national and multi-national institutes and organisations which aim to foster human activities at sea, in the air, in space and on land, and who may benefit from the development of the science and practice of navigation and related information techniques. It has consultative status at both the IMO and ICAO and is also represented at the IHO and the UN International Committee on GNSS (ICG). IAIN holds a World Congress every three years and the next will be in 2018, hosted by the Japanese Institute of Navigation.

The Association is always seeking new member organisations.
